Teresa Callies

Teresa Callies is a writer and researcher who has travelled widely and thinks globally. She has a degree from the University of Minnesota in International Relations, and her special interest in Greek culture and politics led her to participate in a research project sponsored by the Minnesota SPAN Association. She studied Greek newspapers, and compared the differences in international and national news coverage. Over the last 25 years, she has made ten journeys to Greece, and has also travelled extensively in Cyprus, Egypt, Israel, Spain, England, and Australia.

She also spent several years on the news staff of Minnesota Public Radio, where she provided research services for their reporters and editors.

As a result of her long involvement with women's issues, Teresa is Editor of WITNE: Women in the New Economy, including The Callies Conversations and various companion essays, all services of BNWW. She covers topics of interest to everyone in the new economy, from charitable giving to ageism to breast cancer to affluenza to Americans' lack of vacation time to the joy of discovery. She's also the author of No, stop! It's a cookbook!, as well as a review of Work Matters by Sara Ann Friedman,

Teresa is profiled on Australia's popular "SheSaid" site.
