If you feel that you already know more about Bill Gates than you've ever really wanted to know, you need read no further. On the other hand, perhaps there are some things that you do not yet know about one of the finalists for "most influential man in the world." Also, if it seems that he must be about 90 years old, because he's been around forever, you may be interested to know that he's still only in his early 40s. But, you're right: he has been around forever. He started shaping the revolutionary new world economy's most important industry when he was still in his teens. He may or may not be a monopolist (a current court case may decide that), but there's no doubt that he heads the currently most important company in the world's most important industry, and, as such, is sort of the "CEO of the CEOs." How many other people are able to summon more than a hundred top corporate leaders to his home for a chat, as Gates now does annually? And, have them actually come, that is.
